Description

Big Hugo's ideal home

Two-year-old Hugo is a sweet and friendly boy, who loves to be close to his favourite people. But despite his love for his human friendships, he can be worried by strangers and prefers to build up a bond at his own pace. Hugo can also feel wary with having a harness put on but has been doing well building up his confidence wearing it after taking it slow and offering him tasty treats. Due to his sensitivities around strangers and some types of handling, Hugo would best be suited to a calmer home environment, where the youngest family members are of an older secondary-school age. Hugo is generally excited to greet other dogs, but he can sometimes come across as a bit intense and is worried when they come running up to him, especially larger breeds. He would be better suited to being the only dog in the home but would benefit from having walking buddies occasionally. A garden of his own is essential so that he can work on his toilet training. Ultimately, he’d love to find a patient and understanding family who could support him with some additional training and confidence building, while offering a peaceful place to call home.

Could you be Big Hugo's perfect match?

Once you’ve built his friendship, Hugo loves showing his affection and will rub against you for a gentle fuss. He likes food and is very fond of long-lasting chews but would prefer to eat these in a safe place without too much foot traffic. He’s always keen to explore and loves spending time outdoors for a good sniff about, but prefers to walk in rural areas, away from busy roads.

Pomeranian Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Pomeranian.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
